The Spurs are hanging on for dear life as they fight for a shot at the play-in tournament. They are 5-5 in their past 10 games and aim for a strong finish with the New Orleans Pelicans right on their heels.
For the Jazz, they remain as the top team in the Western Conference, although the surge from the Phoenix Suns has made it a two-team race for the top seed in the West. Utah is 6-4 in their last 10 and are still without Donovan Mitchell as he nurses his injury.

Why The Jazz Could Cover The Spread
It's simple: the Jazz are one of the best teams in the league and have been all season long. Even without Mitchell, Rudy Gobert is a mess to game plan against. Joe Ingles has been fantastic in Mitchell's absence and Jordan Clarkson continues to make his strong case for Sixth Man of the Year.
The Jazz are fresh off an 11 point victory against the same Spurs team on Monday night. Gobert had 24 and 15 and frustrated the Spurs at both ends. Bojan Bogdanovic led all scorers with 25 points as Clarkson chipped in 16 off the bench.

Ingles has filled the shoes rather well as the Jazz are without both Mitchell and Mike Conley. Nonetheless, they are still winning games and their team formula is ever so evident despite the injuries. Coach Quin Snyder will have this team ready as they continue their fight for the number one seed in the entire NBA.
Why The Spurs Could Cover The Spread
Gregg Popovich is one of the greatest coaches in the history of the game. For that reason alone, the Spurs could steal the second game of the two-game mini-series as they push for a spot in the play-in tournament.
DeMar DeRozan led the way with 22 points on 10-17 and six dimes. The biggest issue for the Spurs was their inability to prevent the Jazz from rebounding as they walked away with 50 boards in the game.
Every game left is important for the Spurs and Popovich and company have to find a way to get it done. DeRozan should drop another 20+ and the Spurs could find a way to escape with a split as they tr to fiend off the Pelicans from taking their spot in the play-in.
