The San Antonio Spurs host the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night! It's time to continue our NBA odds series with a Warriors-Spurs prediction and pick.

The Golden State Warriors are coming off a 122-108 win over the Houston Rockets last night. Steph Curry dropped 40 points in the win as the Warriors improve to (38-13) on the season. They control the second-best record in the Western Conference as well as the entire NBA behind the Phoenix Suns. As for the Spurs, they are (19-32) on the season which puts them 11th in the West. These two teams have had very different seasons so let's get right to the pick.

Why The Warriors Could Cover The Spread

This will be the second night of a back-to-back so Klay Thompson will likely not play tonight. But there is still a chance he does. I'm going to make this prediction based on the fact that he is not playing. But my prediction won't really change much anyway. The Warriors come into this matchup as the favorites on the road. It's not a big spread at all which means they are more than capable of covering here even without Thompson and Draymond Green. It will once again be the Curry and Wiggins show and that has how it's been all season. This team has plenty of depth which is something they did not have last season, it's just a majority of them are out this game.

The Warriors are 21-8 against the West this season and these two teams square off for the second time. Back on Dec. 5, the Spurs took down the Warriors 112-107 after Derrick White scored 25 points. If the Warriors want to cover this spread, they must contain White and Dejounte Murray who is leading the Spurs right now. The Spurs are healthy which is something the Warriors are not, so that could be a major factor in the result in this one.

Why The Spurs Could Cover The Spread

The Spurs have a chance to cover this spread but because it's a small one they would have to keep this very close. San Antonio comes in as the underdogs here which makes sense. The Warriors continue to win games and are one of the better teams in the league against the spread at 27-19-3. The reason the Spurs will have a chance is because the Warriors will be missing three starters and Andre Iguodala off the bench. That will allow the Spurs to keep things tighter. Their main priority will be to contain Steph Curry. Wiggins is also playing very well right now averaging 26 points per game since he was awarded a starter for the West All-Stars.

The Spurs will need to make sure their defense steps up tonight. It won't be easy trying to contain Curry as he is fresh of a 40-piece. A major issue for the Spurs in this game is that they are just 10-16 at home this season. The Warriors are 14-9 on the road and so this will need to be one of the Spurs' better games of the season if they want to cover this spread. Murray and White will both need to score at least 20 points each and they need to keep Curry to under 30 points. If that happens, the Spurs should be in the thick of things toward crunch time.

Final Warriors-Spurs Prediction & Pick

The Warriors are the right pick here. It's only a two-point spread so the Warriors are more than capable of covering.

Final Warriors-Spurs Prediction & Pick: Warriors -2 (-110)
