The NBA season is starting to take full swing. Saturday night on ABC will showcase a fantastic interconference matchup between the Golden State Warriors and Philadelphia 76ers. It's time to continue our NBA odds series with a Warriors-76ers prediction and pick based on Warriors 76ers odds.
The Warriors continue to light up the NBA this season. They are 21-4 which is good for first place in the Western Conference. Steph Curry is the MVP frontrunner if the season were to end today. He's second in the NBA in points per game at 27.5 and seems to never miss a three-pointer. Everyone is excited to see the Curry brothers face off again this season. In their last matchup earlier in the year, Both brothers scored at least 24 points in the Warriors 116-96 win. Once Klay Thompson returns, the Warriors could be the team to beat in the NBA once again.
As for the 76ers, they sit at 14-12 which is good for seventh in the Eastern Conference. Ben Simmons is still out and will likely stay out until he's traded. Until that happens they are relying on Joel Embiid and Tobias Harris to lead the team. Seth Curry and Tyrese Maxey are also playing well this season which is a good sign for the 76ers.
Let's see how FanDuel set the line for Saturday night.

Why The Warriors Could Cover The Spread
The Warriors shouldn't have a problem covering this spread. Although, they could be missing two crucial role players in Andre Iguodala and James Wiseman to knee injuries. Iguodala could return to the lineup tonight after missing the last few games which will be a major help. The Warriors are winning games regardless. They are getting great contributions from Andrew Wiggins, Otto Porter Jr., and of course Jordan Poole. Poole is playing exceptional this season averaging 18 points per game and over three assists.
If Golden State continues to see the role players step up and not let Curry take on the load each game then they will continue to see success. As for Saturday night, they need to contain Embiid and not let him control the paint. If they do that then they won't have a problem getting past Philadelphia. The 76ers are a great defensive team but do not have the offensive weapons Golden State has.
Why The 76ers Could Cover The Spread
The 76ers can cover this spread if they defend well and not allow Curry to get too hot. Embiid needs to step up as well. He didn't play great in their last game in the loss to the Utah Jazz. He ended 8-18 with 19 points and only nine rebounds. If Embiid wants to be the top center in the NBA then he will need to dominate more and stop forcing up shots. This could be a good game for him to get back on track and establish his dominance. The Warriors will rely on Draymond Green and Kevon Looney to contain him but Embiid will need to play well if they want a chance.
Final Warriors-76ers Prediction & Pick
I expect the Warriors to get the job done tonight. If they do get Iguodala back, then that will be a huge help on the defensive end. Either way, the Warriors are playing great right now and there doesn't seem to be anything that can stop them. Golden State is 17-7-1 against the spread this year. Philadelphia is 12-14.
Final Warriors-76ers Prediction & Pick: Warriors -3 (-110)
