Friday night in the Association will feature two teams from the East! It's time to continue our NBA odds series with a Wizards-Bulls prediction and pick.

The Washington Wizards are coming off a brutal loss to the Houston Rockets. Kevin Porter Jr. nailed a buzzer-beater to knock off the Wizards at home. Washington is 19-19 on the year and is ninth in the Eastern Conference. Chicago is the No. 1 seed in the East right now after starting the season strong. The Bulls are coming off a win 102-98 over the Orlando Magic last time out. DeMar DeRozen is off to an incredible season and is putting himself in the MVP conversation at this point in the year. These two teams met just a few days ago where the Bulls edged out the Wizards 120-119. Chicago has won nine-straight games.

The Wizards are looking for payback after DeRozen nailed in a game-winner against them the last time out. The Wizards are 13-12 against the East this year, which is a good sign. They are playing better than most predicted and a major part of that is because of Kyle Kuzma. Kuzma is averaging 14.8 points per game and 8.3 rebounds per game. Kuzma scored 29 against the Bulls last time out, so if that can happen again then the Wizards will have a chance to cover this spread.

Washington will be missing some role players who are out with covid-19. They are 18-18-1 against the spread but have lost three of their last five. If you are considering betting on Washington, then you better hope their trend continues. Bradley Beal is continuing to shoot the lights out this year and so with he and Kuzma balling, the Wizards will continue to be in most games they play.

Why The Bulls Could Cover The Spread

The Bulls are as hot as ever right now which is a great sign for bettors. They are looking to win their 10th straight, which is something they haven't really done since the Jordan era. DeRozen is averaging 26.9 points per game right now and is leading this team to new heights. They are pretty much as healthy as they can get right now and that is something that is rare in the NBA right now. Chicago is 16-7 against the East this year and if that continues, we could see them competing for the title this year.

Besides DeRozen, Lonzo Ball is also playing well in his first season in Chicago. He's averaging 12.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.1 assists for the Bulls. He and DeRozen are shocking the NBA every night and if they want to cover the spread against the Wizards, it will be on those two to lead them there. They will need to contain Beal and Kuzma because they are both playing well right now.

This game could go either way, and it showed the last time they played. I think the Bulls will win the game, but I am going to take the Wizards to cover this spread. Considering it was close last time, I think it will be close again.
