The Dallas Cowboys will face the Philadelphia Eagles in a classic NFC East rivalry matchup on Saturday. It's time to continue our NFL odds series and make a Cowboys-Eagles prediction and pick.
The Cowboys and Eagles will matchup in Week 18 in what will be an interesting game for both sides. Both of teams teams have clinched playoff berth, with Dallas also having clinched the NFC East. The Eagles will sit their starters in this game, while Dallas plans to start theirs.

It remains to be seen if the Cowboys elect to play their key guys for the whole game, as the Green Bay Packers have already clinched the No. 1 seed in the NFC. The Cowboys come into this one as favorites over Philadelphia.

Why The Cowboys Could Cover The Spread
The Cowboys obviously have a great shot to win and cover in this game but it's a bit of a weird spot as the game does not mean a whole lot for either side. This could be a strange spot to bet on either team as it is tough to predict what type of gameplan Dallas will rollout vs. the Eagles' backups a week before a playoff game. They may just keep everything simple and get their starters some reps to stay fresh before pulling them early. The fact is we really don't know to this point and that makes the play in general pretty murky. Guys like Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott and others may only see a few snaps. Star rookie linebacker Micah Parsons has already been ruled out by the Cowboys for Week 18.
Dallas vs. the spread
The Cowboys have been fantastic vs. the spread this season with a 12-4 record against the number. Dallas is 4-0 as an away favorite vs. the spread and 9-3 as a favorite overall vs. the line.
Why The Eagles Could Cover The Spread
The Eagles would be getting more points than this you'd think with their backups vs. the Dallas starters, so there may be some doubt in terms of how long the Cowboys actually will play their starters on Saturday night. Philadelphia will have a good chance to cover and win either way as backup quarterback Gardner Minshew has won a game already this season for the Eagles. Their running game should still show up as well, so if you have to bet this game the Eagles with the points might not be a bad pick.
Philadelphia vs. the spread
The Eagles are 8-7-1 overall vs. the spread, and 3-4 as underdogs. Philadelphia has covered in five of their last seven games and in three straight at home. This is nice spot for another home cover as the Eagles are getting points in what may end up being a crapshoot of a game between each side's reserves.
Final Cowboys-Eagles Prediction & Pick
Take the Eagles and the points here. Dallas may give their starters some run, but it's a long game and the Eagles have the home field and Minshew as a solid backup QB. Philadelphia should still be able to put up points with him at the helm, so getting nearly a touchdown is enough to make the Eagles an appealing pick for this Saturday night matchup.
