Baron Davis will be the BIG3's newest former NBA player coming on board, ClutchPoints has learned.

Davis made it official Saturday during The Black Santa Company's first annual charity basketball event even that he plans to join Ice Cube's league for its second season. Davis will join Allen Iverson's team in the league.

Davis played 13 seasons in the NBA with career averages of 16.1 points and 7.2 assists. He made two All-Star teams but was probably most famous for helping lead the eighth-seeded Golden State Warriors to an upset over the top-seeded Dallas Mavericks in the first round of the 2007 playoffs.

The BIG3 was a big success in its first season, featuring former NBA stars like Iverson, Kenyon Martin and Brian Scalabrine to name a few.

The championship of the first season was won by Trilogy, which went undefeated on the year led by the No. 1 overall draft pick of the league, Rashad McCants.

The second season promises to be bigger with its games now being broadcast live on Fox Sports on Friday nights. Team rosters have also been expanded to include co-captains for the second season. Some new faces besides Davis will be joining the league as well, including Metta World Peace, who will team up with Stephen Jackson and Charles Oakley.

Season 2 is scheduled to begin on June 22.
