After a disheartening loss in the playoffs, the Buffalo Bills are set to begin their offseason journey. Luckily for them, the front office won’t have to do too much work to keep the roster competitive. They’ll have a chance to make the team even more dangerous through free agency and the NFL Draft. Regardless, we take a look at the biggest Bills team need heading into the 2022 NFL Offseason.

The defense is rather stacked, so we can expect the Bills to find nice complimentary players to add to the team. Offensively, Buffalo could use a little bit of help. It’s not a dire situation for this roster, but for this franchise to improve, they have to find a way to upgrade the offensive line.

Between pass blocking and run blocking, the Bills were quite average throughout the year. Josh Allen was able to bail them out often, but improving the offensive line could make Buffalo unbeatable. We’ll see how it plays out, but don’t be shocked if this team focuses on building the trenches.

With that said, here is our biggest Bills team need for the 2022 NFL offseason.

Reconstruct The Offensive Line

We’re likely to see the Bills use the free agency pool and the NFL Draft to reconstruct the offensive line. They could look to make a trade, but it would be wise for Buffalo to keep as many draft picks as possible. As previously stated, Allen is capable of bailing out the offensive line, so the team has some wiggle room to develop a young prospect or two.

When it comes to free agency, the Bills would be wise to find players who are capable of competing for a starting role. Buffalo doesn’t need to break the bank to sign a star offensive lineman. The smart decision would be to find someone who is a capable starter, but not a guaranteed starter. The reason is, this player will sign a much more affordable deal and provide the offensive line some competition throughout training camp.

From there, the Bills can go into the NFL Draft and have the leisure of taking the best available offensive lineman. Buffalo has all of their draft picks in 2022 and can choose to trade up or down. Either way, we should hopefully see the front office bring in some new offensive linemen to make life a bit easier for Josh Allen.

We could see Buffalo search for some new pass catchers, along with another running back to compliment Devin Singletary. Even so, those are secondary to the Bills’ needs at offensive line. This franchise has everything they need to make a Super Bowl run and strengthening the big men upfront can do just that.

Although the coaching staff has lost Brian Daboll, the Bills should still be in good hands. The front office did an amazing job finding replacements where needed and we should see Buffalo at the top of the AFC East once again. Even if the team doesn’t stack up the offensive line, Josh Allen will still be able to carry this organization to the playoffs next year.
