According to a Tuesday evening report from Tom Pelissero of NFL.com and NFL Network, veteran NFL wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders has already found his next home. Pelissero is reporting that once Sanders is formally released by the New Orleans Saints, he will head to upstate New York. It is believed that on Thursday he will take his physical before ultimately finalizing a one-year contract with the Buffalo Bills.

Although it was previously revealed that the Saints would indeed be releasing Sanders this offseason, such a move likely won't become official until 4 p.m. eastern on Wednesday due to salary cap implications.

The 35-year-old Sanders initially split the better portion of his NFL playing career between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Denver Broncos. He was then traded by the Broncos to the San Francisco 49ers midway through the 2019-20 campaign. That led him to make an appearance in the Super Bowl. Sanders promptly signed with the aforementioned Saints last offseason after spending just 10 regular-season games as a member of the 49ers.

Bills Add A Proven Wideout

In what would become just a one-year stint down in New Orleans, the seasoned pass-catcher appeared in 14 regular-season games for the Saints en route to being targeted 82 times. With the Saints' top wideout Michael Thomas missing the majority of the 2020-21 campaign, Sanders caught 61 passes for 726 yards and five touchdowns this past season.

Over his career, he has caught 662 passes for 8,619 yards and 47 touchdowns over the course of 158 career regular-season games. He will now lineup alongside Stefon Diggs and Cole Beasley to give the Bills a dynamic wideout room.
