Buffalo Bills rookie running back is receiving a “steady” number of snaps with the primary offense in training camp. Singletary, 21, was selected in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft by Buffalo after a three-year collegiate career at Florida Atlantic.

Per Matthew Fairburn and Joe Buscaglia in The Athletic on Monday:

The buzz has been building around running back Devin Singletary. The team’s third-round pick has made a habit of busting a big play throughout training camp, which has led to a steady amount of opportunities with the first-team offense. On Monday, Singletary’s vision in reading the block setup was the shining part of his day. He recognized the body position of the defenders and made one cut to get out into a great deal of open space. It happened during a pair of reps during team drills with the first-team offense, which he had to share with LeSean McCoy and Frank Gore.

In his first camp, Singletary has flashed as a good pass-catcher out of the backfield with the ability to make people miss in the open field. Additionally, he’s made good defenders look foolish in the open field on the way to significant gains. The Bills remain quite high on the young running back and his NFL potential.

The first-year RB rushed for 1,348 yards and 22 touchdowns in 12 games during his junior year at FAU. He's in a running back corps made up of veterans LeSean McCoy and Frank Gore. McCoy told reporters on Tuesday, however, that he expects to be the number one option in the backfield for the Bills.

Nevertheless, it looks like the young running back in Singletary has a chance to earn a considerable amount of snaps in preseason and eventually the regular season in head coach Sean McDermott's offense.
