After signing a one-year deal with the Buffalo Bills, it has become apparent that not only has Emmanuel Sanders been smitten about the Buffalo Bills for quite some time now, but the feeling was mutual.

And how can you blame either side? For Sanders, he gets to play in an offense that loves to throw and has a gunslinger in Josh Allen under center. For Buffalo, they get an established, veteran wide receiver who's still a dynamic playmaker in his 30's. Sanders comments upon signing with Buffalo were pretty intriguing.

Amongst his praise for Buffalo, Sanders notes that, “I used to sit on my off days on a Tuesday, I'd grab my iPad, and I would watch the Buffalo Bills, the coach's film, and just the routes they were running. You're seeing Josh Allen run around and rip the ball 60 yards down the field, it was just exciting to watch.”

The feeling was mutual, as Bills head coach Sean McDermott was quoted as saying,

“He's a guy we've tracked for a couple of years. He's been in winning locker rooms.”

It's fascinating that even will being a member of the Saints, Sanders dreamt about brighter pastures elsewhere in Buffalo. With the sudden emergence of star quarterback Josh Allen, Buffalo could be a destination target for many veteran wide receivers and pass catchers for years to come.

Sanders is coming off a 2020 season in which he had 61 receptions for 726 yards and 5 touchdowns in his age 33 season.

Allen put up MVP numbers last year throwing for 4,544 yards along with 37 touchdowns and just 10 interceptions.

The two have strengths that will blend perfectly with one another and appear to be a match made in heaven. It sure helps getting someone that ended up where he wanted to be all along.
