It's that time of year when NFL teams across the league start making moves to improve their situations. Some players are receiving paydays while others are being released from their respective rosters. For the Buffalo Bills, the front office made a surprising move that affects Josh Allen more than anybody.

According to Matt Parrino, the Bills have decided to release starting guard Jon Feliciano. He's been one of the more stable options within the offensive line, but the veteran guard now enters free agency looking for a new team to play for. We'll see how it plays out, but hopefully, the front office finds a suitable replacement in the offseason.

Last year, Feliciano ended up re-signing with the Bills before free agency, so maybe that happens again. Unfortunately, that's not likely to happen considering Buffalo asked the veteran guard to take a pay cut. Instead, we should expect to see Jon Feliciano playing for a new franchise next year. As for Josh Allen, he'll have to sit back and hope his team improves the offensive line accordingly.

Luckily for Allen, the upcoming NFL Draft has a ton of talent available to help boost the line. Additionally, the front office could also search for someone through free agency. There is plenty of time for the Bills to find a suitable guard. It's tough to pinpoint exactly who Buffalo will target, but we now know at least one major team need with the 2022 NFL free agency quickly approaching.

The Bills were likely to make changes to the offensive line anyway, but it would have been nice to see Jon Feliciano return to the lineup. Either way, he's off to find a new team while Buffalo searches for his replacement.
