Former Jacksonville Jaguars running back and current NFL.com analyst Maurice Jones-Drew thinks big things are in store for Buffalo Bills running back Devin Singletary.

Jones-Drew ranked Singletary as his 16th-best RB1 entering the 2020 season. He suggested Stefon Diggs will help open up the passing game while simultaneously removing defenders from the box, allowing Singletary to carve out running lanes:

The Bills will have a committee spearheaded by Singletary, who, as a rookie, showed his ability to make people miss and line up out wide, along with his elusiveness out of the backfield. Even though he may have to share carries with T.J. Yeldon and Zack Moss, the opportunities will be fruitful, because the run game will be the focus. The addition of Stefon Diggs will also help the run game, as the No. 1 receiver will draw an extra defender out of the box.

Singletary's rookie season was bittersweet. The third-round pick was incredibly explosive, averaging 5.1 yards per carry and also giving Josh Allen a reliable receiving target out of the backfield. In fact, Singletary is much like Jones-Drew both in stature and skill set.

But Singletary also missed four games due to injury, which resulted in split carries. Singletary played an even 50 percent of the team's offensive snaps.

However, there is no denying Singletary's productivity. He had the highest success rate among Bills backs and actually had the same rate as 2019 rushing champion Derrick Henry, per Football Outsiders.

If Singletary is healthy, he could be in line for a big season.
