The story about Bishop Sycamore and IMG Academy just keeps getting more and more insane. Reports surfaced after the two high schools played each other over the weekend and the game was aired on ESPN, and suddenly Bishop Sycamore was under fire after apparently playing their second game in just three days.

Well, a report came out on Tuesday regarding Bishop Sycamore head coach Roy Johnson, who has been fired after the entire ESPN debacle brought a ton of attention to the program. Chris Bumbaca of USA Today had the report on Johnson being fired as the story continues to swirl. Andre Peterson, Bishop Sycamore's founder, had told USA Today Sports of the decision.

“On Tuesday, he (Peterson) told USA TODAY Sports that the football coach, Roy Johnson had been fired Sunday after the game. Peterson also defended Bishop Sycamore's purpose of giving players a better chance of playing college football and denied any inkling of a “scam” related to Sunday's game or Bishop Sycamore.”

So, Johnson is out, and suddenly the school–or program– is in hot water with a million questions going around about this situation. The school's founder also had some comments after they had been labeled as a scam.

“There’s nothing that I’ve gotten out of this that would constitute it as a scam because I’m not gaining anything financially from what we’re doing…The reality of it is that I have a son (Javan) that’s also in the program and has been in the program for four years.”

Seriously, this just keeps getting weirder and one of their opponents just announced that they won't play the school anymore.
