Carmelo Anthony reveals conversation he had with Damian Lillard before signing with Blazers
Anthony’s conversation with Lillard was short and quick to the point:

Anthony originally signed a non-guaranteed deal with the Blazers. Portland then made Melo’s contract guaranteed for the rest of the season after his sound play.
In 50 games with the Blazers this season, Anthony is averaging 15.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists. The future Hall of Famer is shooting 42.6 percent from the field, 37.1 percent from beyond the arc and 84.3 percent from the free-throw line.
After everything that happened to Anthony with the Houston Rockets last season, basketball fans were just happy to see the former superstar back in the NBA with the Blazers. He’s not even close to the scorer he used to be, but Anthony can still score 15 to 20 points in his sleep.
If the season does resume, the Blazers will be in ninth place in the Western Conference standings. However, as of this moment, no one really knows if the NBA is going to start the season up again.
Anthony, the third overall pick in the legendary 2003 NBA Draft, has career averages of 23.6 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists. He’s one of the best scorers in NBA history and the Blazers should be commended for giving Melo another shot when no other team did.
