Portland Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum is out indefinitely after it was revealed he has a collapsed lung. However, he doesn't want his fans to worry.

The Blazers revealed that McCollum will further be evaluated after the diagnosis to determine the full extent of his injury. The team didn't provide any detail on how much time he'll miss, but it is expected to be more than just a couple of games as the team looks to have him 100 percent healthy before playing him again.

After the news spread like wildfire, raising concerns about his status and the future of the team, McCollum took to Instagram to ease the worries of the fans. The Blazers guard also shared his religious belief before asking fans to pray for him.

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus,” McCollum wrote.

“Thank you lord for looking out for me.”

CJ McCollum's injury is undoubtedly a huge blow to the Blazers, who are already missing star guard Damian Lillard due to abdominal tendinopathy. The team has been struggling with injuries, which doesn't really bode well in their aspirations to make the playoffs.

Hopefully, though, McCollum's condition is not severe and that he'll be able to return sooner rather than later.
