The dust has barely settled on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' momentous win over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, but already, Portland Trail Blazers star CJ McCollum is already making a bold prediction for the Super Bowl. According to the 6-foot-3 shooting guard, he's already got his money on Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs over Tom Brady and the Bucs.

McCollum took to Twitter to express his confidence in Mahomes and the Chiefs, who incidentally, have yet to book their place in the championship game:

CJ McCollum appears to be dead serious about taking bets for the Super Bowl, and clearly, the Blazers star is banking on Mahomes.

The Chiefs, however, will need to defeat the Buffalo Bills first in the AFC Championship Game before advancing to the Super Bowl. That's anything but a certainty at this point, with the Bills presenting themselves as a formidable foe for the defending champs. For his part, however, McCollum clearly believes that the Chiefs are a shoo-in at this point.

It is worth noting, however, that Mahomes enters Sunday's matchup against the Bills with a concerning toe injury. The reigning Super Bowl MVP was in doubt to take the field against Buffalo with a head injury, but as it turns out, the toe issue was a more pressing concern. Reports even suggest that offseason surgery might be required for the 25-year-old.

With that being said, Mahomes will still be in action against the Bills as he hopes to lead the Chiefs to another Super Bowl berth. We all know how CJ McCollum (and probably the Blazers) will be cheering him on.
