Portland Trail Blazers are used to hearing all the Damian Lillard trade rumors by now. The man himself has been as transparent as can be about where his head is at all times when it comes to his future.

In a recent interview with CNBC's Jabari Young, the Blazers star affirmed his desire, once again, to stay in Portland.

“I have no plans of not being a Portland Trail Blazer,” said Lillard. “I want to be here, and I think they want me here.”

However, the reality of it is that the Blazers are entering a crossroads as to what the future holds. They have a likely high-end pick in this coming NBA Draft and have seen the emergence of 22-year-old Anfernee Simons. A Damian Lillard trade likely isn't in their plans as of now, but trading him for a hefty return would bring a potential rebuild into hyper speed.

Portland's mindset isn't to rebuild just yet, but another slow start next season could be the impetus for finally opening up formal trade discussions. Damian Lillard admitted that while he doesn't want that to happen, he won't fight it.

Though Lillard wants to stay with the Blazers, asked if he would accept a trade, he responded: “If they came to me and they wanted to trade me – I’m not going to fight them on wanting to trade me. I don’t want to be anywhere I’m not wanted. But I don’t think that’s the case.”

Damian Lillard has been the lifeblood of the Blazers for a full decade now. How much longer it lasts, or if he ends up stayinf for good, remains to be seen.
