Blazers’ Damian Lillard puts reporter in a body bag during vicious Twitter back-and-forth on trade rumors
Damian Lillard continues to deny reports that he’s requested a trade away from the Portland Trail Blazers. The latest rumors coming out however have even gone as far as saying Dame is willing to forgo part of his salary to force his way to a contender.
Lillard made it very clear in a recent Team USA media session that he never once said that which apparently upset Henry Abbott, the reporter from True Hoops who broke this story. Just take a look at this back and forth on Twitter between Damian Lillard and Abbott:
For sure. Appreciate that, and you. But realize: I work in a profession where my reputation is as important to my livelihood as health is to an NBA player. Please be very careful about calling me a liar. I take my job very seriously, and do not lie.

Did Abbott to low-key threaten Dame? “Be careful about calling me a liar”. Well, clearly, someone in Damian Lillard’s camp leaked some information that gave the reporter these ideas that he put into the article. However, the Blazers star didn’t like that comment:
Please be careful? https://t.co/kMmrcKYMcN

This is just getting out of hand. Damian Lillard has said time and time again that he’s committed to Portland, yet the rumors continue to swirl this summer. This latest feud between reporter and player is absolutely wild and has left NBA Twitter absolutely buzzing.
It’s also like 4 AM in Tokyo right now. Dame is wide awake on Twitter just putting this reporter in a bodybag.
