During a Q&A session on Twitter, Portland Trail Blazers star point guard Damian Lillard told a fan “it feels normal” being a superstar in a small market city.

Lillard says he gets a lot of love from the fans in Portland without the extra hoopla that comes with playing in a big market like New York or Los Angeles.

Damian Lillard has said multiple times he wants to play his entire career in Portland and win a championship for the Blazers.

The allure of playing in a big market doesn't really impress Lillard, as athletes can't really have normal lives off the basketball court in cities like LA and New York because of all the media coverage and tabloids.

Portland is a great city and it's a good place to raise a family, which Lillard is doing right now.  It's very family-oriented and not wild like The Big Apple.

During the All-Star weekend, Lillard told Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports he's not willing to sell himself out to win an NBA championship and that he's all about loyalty. It was words to the ears of the fans in Portland.

This season, Lillard is averaging 26.1 points, 4.5 rebounds and 6.4 assists. The Blazers are 35-23, good for fourth place in the Western Conference standings.
