The NBA offseason can hit a bit of a lull at times, but nothing can spice it up again like two NBA stars beefing on Twitter. Kevin Durant appeared on CJ McCollum's podcast earlier this month and the two had what seemed to be friendly back and forth banter.

The Portland Trail Blazers star told Durant that he didn't like DeMarcus Cousins singing with the Golden State Warriors which led to Durant reminding McCollum that the Trail Blazers wouldn't be winning the title any time soon.

Durant and McCollum took the beef to a brand-new level on Twitter for the whole world to see.

Now, suddenly, McCollum's teammate, Damian Lillard, thinks the two guys need to talk through this off of social media as he's had enough of the drama.

“I heard them going back and forth,” Lillard told ESPN's Ohm Youngmisuk. “It sounded like they were joking, they both were laughing, so I really didn't think much of it. Then when I went on Twitter, I was just like, all right, maybe they need to just – they got each other's phone number. They don't got to go on Twitter, call each other and get it off y'all chest.

“It ain't got to be on Twitter, because everybody's going to make this big thing about it and try to pin them against each other. People love drama, and it ain't got to be all that.

This just seems like typical offseason drama with players not having anything better to do than start some useless Twitter drama.

The Warriors and the Trail Blazers have had some good battles over the last few years and maybe this drama can add another layer to their rivalry.
