When Damian Lillard banked his epic game-winner over Paul George in Game 5 of Portland Trail Blazers' first-round playoffs series with the Oklahoma City Thunder in the 2019 NBA postseason, he was obviously confident he could hit the shot. It is only when he was asked to recreate it that he realized how difficult and far the 37-foot buzzer-beater was.

Lillard himself was shocked to learn about the distance he once covered to break the hearts of Thunder fans. His dumbfounded facial expression says it all.

For a man nicknamed Logo Lillard, it shouldn't have been surprising. However, the fact that the Blazers star had a defender on him, Paul George, with the game on the line when he made the shot certainly makes it even more incredible.

For what it's worth, maybe Damian Lillard also realized why PG13 called it a bad shot?

Lillard's range is what makes him of the most difficult players to guard in the NBA. It's rare for teams to put a defender on a player at the halfcourt line, but given Dame's ability to shoot from virtually anywhere on the floor, opponents couldn't do anything but have a man stay on the Blazers' scorer.

Still, it's fun to see Lillard get surprised by his own ability. What he is doing is not normal and definitely deserves applause.
