The Portland Trail Blazers dropped Game 2 of their best-of-seven Western Conference first-round series after being thrashed by the Los Angeles Lakers, 88-111, at the AdventHealth Arena on Thursday. Still, Blazers fans can let out a huge sigh of relief after the initial results of superstar Damian Lillard's left finger injury came out negative.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the 5-time All-Star's status for Game 3 on Saturday doesn't seem to be in jeopardy since Lillard only suffered a minor injury.

If that's not enough, even Dame himself insists he isn't sitting out.

Damian Lillard was in obvious discomfort at the closing minutes of the third period against the Lakers, as he grabbed his finger and asked to be taken out of the ball game. Footage of Lillard throwing a towel in frustration surfaced shortly before he was escorted to the locker room for treatment. The Blazers were already down by 30 points at the time, so Portland head coach Terry Stotts didn't take any chances and sat Lillard out for the rest of the game.

Following Lillard's 31-point eruption in Game 1, the Lakers did a much better job shadowing the fiery scorer on Thursday. Dame Time never got it going from the opening tip, as he was limited to just 18 points on 6-for-14 shooting from the field and 1-of-7 from distance. The 30-year-old Blazers star also had three rebounds, one assist, and one steal in 30 minutes.

The Blazers, meanwhile, simply had no answer for the Lakers' superstar Anthony Davis, who torched them for 31 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, one steal, and one block in 29 minutes. The Lakers won big despite a rather pedestrian outing for LeBron James, who only had 10 points, six boards, and seven dimes.

Lilalrd and the Blazers will have one day to re-group and bounce back in Game 3.
