When it comes to Thursday night's 103-91 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks at Moda Center, it is definitely a game that the Portland Trail Blazers (13-9) quickly want to forget about.

With 10:52 left in the fourth quarter and the Blazers trailing by 21, Leonard launched a 3-pointer that came up well short and received an echo of boos from the home crowd.

According to an article by Mike Richman of The Oregonian, Leonard addressed the situation after the game and was clearly affected by the fans' reactions.

“Now nobody wants to get booed. It would be asinine to say I don't hear it,” Leonard said on Friday. “They have the right to do what they want. I think it's pretty bogus.”

Blazers rising star center Jusuf Nurkić, who finished with a team-high 25 points and 11 rebounds on the night, also came to the defense of his teammate and said that Meyers Leonard did not deserve that sort of treatment.

“It's tough when you have fans who boo Meyers Leonard for no reason,” Nurkić said. “If they boo him, then boo everybody. Just don't boo the guy who just missed a shot. It's no good. We don't look good, boo me, boo everybody if we're not fighting for them. I think he does not deserve just to be booed for no reason.”

Leonard, who was inactive for the team's previous four games before Thursday night, finished with just two points (1-of-3 shooting) and three rebounds in eight minutes of action from off of the Blazers' bench.
