Spain just won the 2019 FIBA World Cup, and nobody seems happier as a fan than Pau Gasol. The Portland Trail Blazers big man went on Twitter, put on his national team jersey, and celebrated the victory:

You just gotta feel happy for a clearly elated Gasol.

The two-time NBA champion has had a storied international basketball career for Spain. In addition to a FIBA title in 2006, where he also won tournament MVP, Gasol also has two silver medals from the 2008 and 2012 Olympics and a bronze medal from the 2016 Olympics. Likewise, he has three gold medals in the EuroBasket tournament.

Unfortunately, the 39-year-old couldn't add Spain's gold this year to his resume because he is still currently recovering from foot surgery. Nevertheless, it seems like he's more than happy to be the team's No. 1 fan.

Spain didn't miss a beat even without their veteran big man. The Spaniards dominated Argentina in the tournament finale with a wire-to-wire 95-75 victory to regain the title they last captured in 2006.

Pau's brother, Marc Gasol, was terrific for Spain with an all-around performance of 14 points, seven rebounds, seven assists, two steals, and three blocks. World Cup Most Valuable Player Ricky Rubio top-scored for the Spaniards with 20 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the field. He also went a perfect 7-of-7 from the free-throw line. Both Rubio and Gasol were named to the All-Tournament Team.
