Just days after the release of a bombshell report detailing alleged racist and sexist behavior from Phoenix Suns owner Robert Sarver, their Western Conference rival has launched an internal investigation of their own. The Portland Trail Blazers, with the support of team owner Jody Allen, are investigating longtime general manager Neil Olshey.

According to a report from The Athletic's Shams Charania, the investigation is centered around alleged workplace misconduct.

Via The Athletic:

When contacted about the investigation on Friday night, the Trail Blazers said: “We don't have a comment on this matter at this time.” Allen also declined to comment on Friday night.

Both Allen and Olshey were present as Damian Lillard and the Blazers' dispatched the visiting Indiana Pacers on Friday night. The exactly details or form of misconduct being investigated have yet to be released.

Neil Olshey has served as the Trail Blazers GM for nearly a decade, getting hired in June of 2012. His hiring coincided with the arrival of franchise player Damian Lillard, basically overseeing the entirety of the Lillard era in Portland.

Prior to joining the Blazers organization, Neil Olshey rose through the ranks to become the general manager of the Los Angeles Clippers.
