When Kevin Durant rumors about leaving the Brooklyn Nets spread across the internet, Jusuf Nurkic was part of the contingent of fans clamoring him to come join his team. He tweeted out a photo of Durant in a Portland Trail Blazers uniform alongside Damian Lillard.

Jusuf Nurkic, however, was still a free agent. Technically, he still is. But that apparently could have been taken as a clear sign that he wasn't going anywhere. Based on the latest report from Bleacher Report's Jake Fischer, the Bosnian big man is expected to return to Portland on a lengthy deal that goes all throughout his prime:

Via Bleacher Report:

Starting center Jusuf Nurkic appears destined to be a part of the Blazers' future, with a belief among league personnel he will sign a four-year deal worth roughly $17 million in average annual value.

Jusuf Nurkic seems to have been around for ages but is somehow just 27 years old. He's still completely in his prime and barring injuries destined to be a solid contributor for the foreseeable future.

With CJ McCollum gone along with a handful of other Blazers veterans, the expectation was that he would likely be part of the fire sale. But it appears as though he'll be the second longest tenured Blazer alongside Damian Lillard as they enter a new era.
