The Toronto Blue Jays had five different players at the All-Star festivities in Los Angeles earlier this week. Among them was Alek Manoah, who has proven to be the ace of this staff in 2022. On Tuesday on the red carpet before ultimately taking the mound for the American League at Dodger Stadium, Manoah expressed one celebrity that he'd love to come to a game to watch him pitch: Toronto icon Drake.

Via TMZ Sports:

“Come watch me pitch!” Alek Manoah said in a message to Drake.

Manoah even offered Drizzy a free jersey if he makes his way out to the Rogers Center. The rapper is certainly more of a basketball fan, but he did put Blue Jays icon Joe Carter on one of his song covers in the past and has performed in a Jays jersey before.

Manoah is absolutely dealing this season, going 10-4 with a 2.28 ERA in 18 starts. He was flawless in the All-Star Game too, tossing one inning and striking out all three batters he faced as his family cheered on. The Blue Jays evidently have a special one in Alek Manoah but he's not the only reason for Drake to come be a spectator. This team is electric offensively and just beat the Red Sox 28-5 on Friday. Hopefully, that's the beginning of a blistering second half for this squad as they look to make a run at a playoff spot in the AL.

So, Drake at Rogers Center soon? He's definitely got the invite. It's time to support more than just the Raptors, Drizzy. The Jays are pure entertainment.
