UFC superstar Kamaru Usman is easily one of the best pound for pound fighters in the world. He has not lost a fight in over nine years and has taken out all-time greats like Tyron Woodley, Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal along the way. Apparently, Usman has grown too big for his own sport. He has now set his sights on a future Hall of Fame boxer for a September bout.

In an exclusive interview with TMZ Sports, Usman officially challenged Mexican superstar Canelo Alvarez to a boxing match.

Usman claims that the payday would be historic, with each fighter earning at least $100 million each. The “Nigerian Nightmare” has been calling out Alvarez for the better part of two years, with Alvarez mostly brushing it aside. But it sounds as though his tune might be changing at the thought of a potential nine-figure purse.
Both Usman and Alvarez have a previous fight in their respective sports earlier in 2022. Usman is set to face off against Leon Edwards in July. Meanwhile, Alvarez will box against Dmitry Bivol in May. There are also rumors of a trilogy fight being created between Alvarez and GGG.
Of course, any boxing fan in the world would choose the trilogy fight, but only time will tell.
