Ian Anderson has been one of the Atlanta Braves most reliable arms this postseason and he didn't disappoint on the big stage. In Game 3 of the World Series on Friday, the right-hander tossed five innings of no-hit baseball before Brian Snitker went to his pen in the sixth inning. In the process, the Braves rookie made Fall Classic history:

Keep in mind, Anderson only came up to the bigs at the tail-end of last season before playing a key role in Atlanta's run to the NLCS in 2020. This was technically his first full season in the Majors. The 23-year-old absolutely dominated for the Braves against a potent Houston Astros lineup, striking out four and walking three. As a whole, Anderson has pitched extremely well in the postseason, posting a 1.59 ERA in four starts. During last year's playoffs, he had a mind-boggling 0.96 ERA.

Setting a record that hasn't been seen since 1912 is certainly a huge deal, but it'll only be worth it if the Braves can come out victorious. Heading into the top of the 7th, Atlanta is up 1-0 thanks to an RBI double from Austin Riley in the third inning that drove in the red-hot Eddie Rosario. As for Anderson, he'll probably pitch again before it's all said and done considering that Charlie Morton is out indefinitely with a broken leg.

The series is currently tied 1-1.
