Atlanta Braves superstar outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. has missed the last four games after fouling a ball off of his foot in a contest against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Fans were fearing the worst, especially when they saw the slugger entering the clubhouse on a medical scooter.

However, while Acuna was unable to put any weight on his foot, the X-Rays came back negative, allowing Braves fans everywhere to breathe a sigh of relief. They have even more reason to be relieved. Acuna is expected to return to the Braves lineup for their series against the Cincinnati Reds this weekend, per Jon Morosi of MLB Network.

Braves manager Brian Snitker said that Acuna tested his foot on Thursday and was technically available off the bench for the team during their game against the Philadelphia Phillies. The Braves skipper said that Acuna is “likely” to return Friday against the Reds.

That's excellent news for Atlanta. Acuna, who returned this year after a season-ending knee injury last year, has been in and out of the lineup with groin and knee ailments.

Still, he's been excellent, as per usual. Acuna has posted a .281/.372/.455 slash line with seven homers, 18 RBI, 28 runs scored and 13 stolen bases.

Braves fans know how great he is, as they made Acuna the National League's leading vote-getter for the All-Star game, despite the fact that he's played just 43 contests.

Now, it appears he'll be back against the Reds, with the All-Star game around the corner on July 19.
