Denver Broncos quarterback Case Keenum knows that his team is trying to do what it can to win games for head coach Vance Joseph, who is undoubtedly on the hot seat entering Week 17 of the NFL season.

The Broncos suffered a disappointing 27-14 loss to the Oakland Raiders on Monday night, which didn't help Joseph's case all that much in terms of wanting to return as the Denver coach next season.

With the team now in the midst of a three-game losing streak after being in playoff contention several weeks ago, there isn't a whole lot for the Broncos to play for right now.

However, that won't stop Keenum and company from trying their best to win games for Joseph.

From ESPN's Jeff Legwold:

“Nobody likes not winning; we all hate it,” Broncos quarterback Case Keenum said. “We want all want to play hard, we all want to win for Coach Joseph, we all love him, he’s an incredible human and a great football coach. I want to play hard for him, for every guy in that locker room. That’s big a part of our team, our identity, that we all stick together, love, like and respect each other, that we all fight for each other. But it’s a production league — when you’re not winning, it’s tough.”

After going 5-11 in his first season, there's no doubt that Joseph would have loved to see the Broncos take a significant step forward this season.

But that just hasn't happened, and even with a victory over the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, it sounds like it may be difficult for the second-year coach to retain his job.
