The Denver Broncos are finally going to complete their entire rookie class’ contract situations as they’re set to sign running back Royce Freeman on Thursday, per Mike Klis of 9News.com.

Klis adds that Freeman’s contract will be a four-year deal with a $997,020 signing bonus.

The Broncos had previously signed No. 5 overall pick Bradley Chubb to his rookie deal a couple of weeks ago. With Freeman’s signing, the Broncos have now locked up all 10 of their draft picks this year.

Freeman, who was the Broncos’ third-round pick (No. 71 overall), had a remarkably productive four-year career at Oregon. He racked up 5,621 rushing yards and 60 touchdowns overall during his time with the Ducks as he claimed several school and conference records.

After the Broncos’ release of top running back C.J. Anderson this offseason, Freeman will have the opportunity to be the team’s lead back heading into the season. Broncos head coach Vance Jospeh has already indicated that the rookie will “absolutely” get the chance to win the job over fellow running backs Devontae Booker, DeAngelo Henderson, David Williams, and Phillip Lindsay.

Freeman isn’t the only Broncos rookie who could end up making a big impact for the team this season. Joseph also talked up rookie receivers DaeSean Hamilton and Courtland Sutton and believes both will help the team in the fall.

The Broncos will have big shoes to fill after Anderson became the first Denver running back since Knowshon Moreno in 2013 to top 1,000 rushing yards. If Freeman can come anywhere close to that type of production as a rookie, the Broncos should be happy.
