The Denver Broncos lost fullback Andy Janovich for the season on Sunday after he suffered a gruesome injury to his right elbow.

According to Mike Klis of KUSA, Janovich was diagnosed with a dislocated elbow after being tackled late in the second quarter. He tried to brace his fall going down to the ground, and that's when the injury occurred. He ran off the field holding his elbow and the CBS wouldn't show a replay of the injury.

Earlier in the game Janovich had scored his first touchdown of the season, so the injury ended what could have been a very special day for the Broncos.

To add insult to injury. the Broncos blew a 20-0 halftime lead to the Vikings and are still stuck on three wins on the season.

After scoring 20 points in the first half the offense could only put up three points in the second half and the defense couldn't slow down the Vikings offense.

After the game Broncos safety Justin Simmons put the blame on the defense for the loss.

“It is exactly how we saw it, we played really well in the first half,” Simmons said via SI.com. “We were on a lot of what they did, but then they came out in the second half with a little bit of tempo. However, after the first series we knew they had a tempo game, we had to be on top of our adjustments, and we just didn’t do that. Communication wasn’t as well taken care of as it was in the first half, as it showed. You can’t win a game like that.”

The Broncos go on the road for their next game on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills and they will be without Janovich.
