Nathaniel Hackett made the jump from being the offensive coordinator for Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers to being named the head coach of the Denver Broncos. It makes sense that Hackett would want to add some familiarity to his coaching staff in Denver. Rodgers and the Packers had another coach poached from them after the news of Hackett's latest addition to the Broncos' coaching staff, via ESPN.

Newly hired Denver Broncos coach Nathaniel Hackett continued to fill out his staff, as Green Bay Packers tight ends coach Justin Outten has agreed to be the team's offensive coordinator and former Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak has agreed to be quarterbacks coach/passing game coordinator, sources told ESPN on Wednesday.

Nathaniel Hackett has brought in former Packers tight ends coach Justin Outten to be the team's new offensive coordinator, along with former Minnestoa Vikings play-caller Klint Kubiak, who will serve as the team's quarterbacks coach/passing game coordinator. Outten likely didn't directly work with Aaron Rodgers, though it's hard to ignore the obvious connection.

Hackett plans to call the plays for the Broncos, though he noted that he, Outten and Kubiak will do the “heavy lifting.” Denver will now have two key members of Rodgers' Packers coaching staff heavily involved in the offensive game planning.

It will be interesting to see if that piques Aaron Rodgers' interest in reuniting with Nathaniel Hackett and the Broncos as he mulls his future with the Packers.
