The Denver Broncos seem to have found their quarterback, acquiring Joe Flacco in a trade with the Baltimore Ravens on Wednesday. In exchange, the Broncos sent the Ravens a fourth-round draft pick for Flacco's services.

While many have criticized general manager John Elway for the move, questioning why he would add a 34-year-old signal-caller who is clearly past his prime, Elway's former Broncos teammate, Terrell Davis, praised him for the trade, telling TMZ Sports that he likes the fact that Elway is “being aggressive.”

That's one way to put it, but you have to wonder how many times Elway is going to look for stopgap quarterbacks before he puts some effort into drafting one.

Since Peyton Manning retired after the 2015 campaign, the Broncos have gone through quarterbacks like water, with names like Trevor Siemian, Paxton Lynch, Mark Sanchez and, most recently, Case Keenum, being shuffled.

Denver is coming off of a season in which it went 6-10, marking the first time since 1972 that it posted back-to-back losing seasons. The Broncos' lack of success over the last two years resulted in the firing of head coach Vance Joseph, who was replaced by Vic Fangio last month.

The Broncos have a very good defense, and it's blatantly obvious that their biggest problem in recent years has been under center.

Denver has missed the postseason three years in a row, last making it in that aforementioned 2015 campaign in which it won 12 games and defeated the Carolina Panthers in the Super Bowl.
