Denver Broncos star Von Miller admits that he doesn't put too much thought into the draft because he doesn't have much say over it, but he thinks that the team had an extremely productive draft and he is excited about the direction the franchise is heading.

“I felt like we had an extremely productive draft,” Miller said via the teams website. “Dalton Risner, Drew Lock. Drew Lock, he was a guy who wasn’t supposed to go past the fifth pick. For us to be able to get him in the second round and be able to get a Dalton Risner as well, a Noah Fant and the rest of the guys as well, I’m extremely excited and looking forward to this season.”

Miller knows that the goal every year is the Super Bowl and he thinks with the guys brought in the team can get back to that goal. Miller also knows how special draft day is for the guys coming into the league, and when he was drafted he received a call from Tim Tebow.

Every year since that point he has tried to repay the favor and calls a few of the draft picks every year to welcome them to the team. This year it was Dalton Risner and Drew Lock who were on the recieving end of his call.

“I was just telling them that I’m excited to have those guys on my team,” Miller said. “I’m excited for them to be a part of this squad.”
