When coming into the NFL, it is important to have support from your teammates. Therefore, it must feel good for cornerback and the ninth pick of the 2021 NFL draft, Patrick Surtain II, to hear words of encouragement from his Denver Broncos teammates. Former 2nd pick in the 2011 Draft and outside linebacker Von Miller spoke to James Palmer from the NFL Network and had some advice for his rookie teammate before Denver faces the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 2.

The stalwart for the Broncos stated:

I do not really give him any advice for his first start. He is 6'3, runs a 43, he can cover your slot guy, your tight end, your big possession guy on the outside. He can pretty much do everything including blitz, except dress. I think I can help him out with his pre-game wardrobe.

It must be encouraging to hear that a veteran teammate, especially someone who has been with the Broncos for a long time, believes in a skill set the way Miller believes in Patrick Surtain and his abilities.

Surtain actually made his debut last Sunday, but only participated in limited action. However, due to a Ronald Darby having issues with his hamstring, Patrick Surtain will make his debut as a starter on Sunday versus the Jaguars.

The Broncos opened the season with a 27-13 win over the New York Giants, while the Jaguars lost their opener versus the Houston Texans.
