Vance Joseph appears to be on his way out as head coach of the Denver Broncos, but another job seems to be on the horizon, as he is expected to emerge as a potential candidate for the Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator position, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Should Joseph end up with the Bengals, it would mark his second stint with the franchise, as he also served as Cincinnati's defensive backs coach from 2014 through 2015.

He also has experience as a defensive coordinator, holding that post for the Miami Dolphins for one year in 2016.

Joseph's short tenure as Broncos head coach has been disastrous.

He took the job in 2017 and went just 5-11 in his first season. He hasn't been much better this year, as Joseph has led Denver to just six wins through 14 games in 2018.

Of course, it's not all Joseph's fault, as the Broncos have not really had a quarterback in his two seasons at the helm, but his decision-making has been very questionable, as evidenced by his highly-criticized moves in last week's loss to the Cleveland Browns.

Denver has now missed the playoffs three years in a row, last making it to the postseason during the 2015-16 campaign when they won the Super Bowl.

Prior to 2016, the Broncos had made the postseason five straight seasons, also including a Super Bowl loss to the Seattle Seahawks in 2013-14.

Denver will take on the Oakland Raiders in the Bay Area on Monday night before returning home to wrap up its regular season against the Los Angeles Chargers next week.
