It has been a tough season for Denver Broncos quarterback Drew Lock, but the youngster had himself a day on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.

To cap off his big day, Lock delivered a 49-yard touchdown bomb to a streaking KJ Hamler late in the fourth quarter against the Panthers. It was Lock's fourth touchdown pass of the day and second to Hamler, who put the dagger in Carolina with the late score.

Watch it for yourself below:

While Lock has been an inconsistent performer over the last two seasons, this deep throw by the quarterback is certain to please Broncos fans given his struggles to stretch the field. Ranked dead last season by Pro Football Focus on passes of 20 yards or more, the inability to play downfield has been one of the leading reasons Denver has failed to generate offense throughout the year.

For one afternoon at least, that wasn't a problem.

Given ample time in the pocket thanks to a strong sequence by the team's offensive line, Lock hit Hamler in stride as the wideout streaked down the field to deliver the dagger. Though the Panthers were able to respond with a touchdown of their own, the Broncos pulled out a 32-27 victory.

Lock had a nearly perfect day under center, completing 21 out of 27 pass attempts for 280 yards and the four touchdowns. He did fumble twice, with one of those going to the Panthers, but overall it was a sterling performance for the young quarterback.
