The Cleveland Browns made a concerted effort to address the offensive line, finalizing a deal with Jack Conklin in free agency. After signing with the Browns, Conklin is focused on helping Nick Chubb accomplish an impressive feat.

“To be able to switch teams and have a guy who is just as good and be able to have an opportunity to go win that record again next year, that is my goal,” Conklin said, via Dan Labbe of Cleveland.com. “I want to help us get there and help Chubb reach that goal and win that next year.”

Prior to arriving in Cleveland, Conklin spent his first four seasons with the Tennessee Titans. Just this past season, Conklin was able to help Derrick Henry become the league's leading rusher with 1,540 yards on the ground.

While Henry led the league in rushing, Chubb finished as a close second, rushing for 1,494 yards with the Browns. Now, the right tackle from the Titans is prepared to have a league-leading rusher on his team for the second straight season.

In Chubb's first two seasons in the NFL, he's been able to combine for 2,490 yards and 16 touchdowns. However, as good as those numbers are, they could improve even more behind a much-improved offensive line. Besides Conklin, the Browns need to address the offense a bit more in free agency and in the 2020 NFL Draft.

The last running back in Cleveland's history to lead the NFL in rushing was Leroy Kelly in 1968. Despite it being over 50 years since the last time the Browns had a No. 1 rusher, Conklin is confident that Chubb is capable of being the next to do it.
