There were only a couple of notable restricted free agents that received tenders from their teams this offseason, with both of them returning to their respective teams. Besides Taysom Hill, the Kareem Hunt is expected to sign his second-round tender with the Cleveland Browns after the offer sheet deadline passed, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Following his tumultuous release from the Kansas City Chiefs, Hunt signed a one-year deal with the Browns in 2019. While signing with Cleveland, within Hunt's contract, the Browns made sure that they would have a chance to retain him in 2020.

Therefore, they made him a restricted free agent, giving them a better chance to keep him. After serving an eight-game suspension, Hunt would make his debut with the Browns in Week 10 of the 2019 season.

In his eight games with the Browns, Hunt would rush for 179 yards on 43 attempts and two touchdowns. Also, along with his rushing numbers, the shifty back proved to be a reliable weapon in Cleveland's passing attack. The former running back for the Chiefs would finish 2019 with 37 receptions for 285 yards and one touchdown.

Upon seeing what he could do in their offense, the Browns were interested in bringing him back in 2020. As a restricted free agent, Cleveland decided to place a second-round tender on Hunt.

That means that a team could offer Hunt a contract, but if he signs it, that team would give the Browns a second-round pick in return. Additionally, Hunt will make $3.25 million next season, per Daryl Ruiter of 92.3 The Fan.

Throughout free agency, there weren't any teams that offered Hunt a contract. Just as the Browns intended, they'll get another season to utilize the shift back's versatile talents in their offense.
