The Cleveland Browns shocked the world when they made the playoffs last year, ending a 17-year playoff drought. They followed up that magical season with a losing record and last-place finish in the AFC North.

Myles Garrett, the Browns' superstar edge rusher, is frustrated that Cleveland's season is going to end this Sunday. Per Scott Petrak of The Chronicle-Telegram and Medina Gazette:

“I’m not processing it well, but it’s there,” he said. “I mean, it’s going to be frustrating for about probably a week, maybe two. Then I’ll probably go somewhere nice and warm and tropical, and then I’ll come back and get my (butt) back to work because I don’t want to have that happen again.”

Garrett took home two Pro Football Writers of America awards. He said that he appreciated the honors but that he still couldn't shake the bad taste of Cleveland's losing season.

“Hey, I’ll take that,” Garrett said. “I heard about the player of the year award, and I definitely appreciate it. I mean, I’m still sore about how the season has panned out, but I still appreciate the honor very much. I know we still have one left and got to prove y’all right.”

Garrett had himself a monster season. He recorded 15.0 sacks this season, ranking in the top five of the NFL. His 31 quarterback hits ranked second in the league. While the Browns missing the postseason is no fault of his own, he certainly feels upset over failing to make it back.

The Browns will close out their 2021 season against the division champions, the Cincinnati Bengals.
