Cleveland Browns safety Ronnie Harrison Jr. was ejected from his team's week 1 matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday for shoving Chiefs assistant coach Greg Lewis in retaliation after Lewis Pushed Harrison.

After Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire was tackled with 5:08 left in the first quarter, Browns defenders appeared to step over him, causing his teammates and coaches on the Kansas City bench to step into the scuffle. This is where Lewis pushed Harrison, who quickly retaliated with what appeared to be a more violent shove.

The referees originally labeled the altercation as unsportsmanlike conduct by the Chiefs' bench, which would've led to a penalty. However, Kansas City head Coach Andy Read disputed the call, and the officials subsequently switched the call to a penalty on Harrison, and the safety was ejected.

As of writing this, the Browns lead the Chiefs 22-10 with a few minutes left in the second quarter. Star quarterbacks Baker Mayfield (11/13 143 yards) and Patrick Mahomes (15/20, 169 yards) are both performing well for their respective teams thus far, though neither player has thrown for a touchdown yet. Both teams are expected to contend for a championship this season.
