The Cleveland Browns will be without safety Morgan Burnett for the remainder of their Thursday Night Football showdown with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Burnett suffered an Achilles injury that has been described as ‘a potential serious injury' by Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

The impact that Burnett provided by the Browns before his injury proved to be vital. He managed to intercept a pass from Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph and returned for 42 yards. The play was set up by Denzel Ward tipping a flea-flicker pass.

The matchup with the Steelers marked the first time that Burnett has faced his former team that he played with during the 2018 season. Prior to playing in Pittsburgh, he spent the initial eight seasons of his NFL career with the Green Bay Packers.

Prior to Burnett's performance against the Steelers, he had totaled 36 combined tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 3 QB hits, and 2 sacks.
