Four years and four cities. Over the course of his last four seasons, one of the Cleveland Browns' newest pass rushers, Sheldon Richardson, has bounced around the country. Now he hopes to have found a home in Ohio.

Richardson spent the first four years of his career with the New York Jets, before being traded to the Seattle Seahawks. Last offseason season, Richardson signed a one-year deal with the Minnesota Vikings, and was productive enough that the Browns came knocking with a three-year, $36 million contract, with $21 million guaranteed.

“They wanted me,” Richardson said, via Cleveland.com. “It was more than one year. That definitely was one of my big, big things. I wanted to get off of the one-year deal thing. I wanted to find a home and make myself a dominant force in one organization and not just get passed around.”

Last year in Seattle, Richardson had his best season since his 2014 sophomore campaign. In 15 games played, Richardson had 49 combined tackles, 4.5 sacks, six tackles for losses and 16 hits on the quarterback.

Richardson joins a new retooled and reloaded defensive line in Cleveland.  Myles Garrett, Larry Ogunjobi, Emmanuel Ogbah and Olivier Vernon—who was just acquired from the New York Giants in exchange for Kevin Zeitler—will be drawing the attention of blockers while Richardson works to disrupt the middle of the line.

Cleveland will be looking to make the jump into contention after years of dreadful performances. The Browns think they've hit the lottery with second-year quarterback Baker Mayfield, and have pushed all their chips into the middle of the table.

In addition to acquiring Richardson and Vernon, the Browns also signed former Kansas City Chief Kareem Hunt, who could contribute depending on the league's ruling on a potential suspension looming after a video of him shoving and kicking a woman last year surfaced, and of course they traded for Odell Beckham Jr. one of the game's most explosive playmakers.
