Since March of 2021, Deshaun Watson has faced numerous sexual misconduct allegations. A year later, a grand jury declined to charge him for all 22 criminal cases against him, allowing the Cleveland Browns to subsequently sign him.

Four civil cases remain open after two more allegations surfaced and 20 settlements. Along with the civil cases, Watson could also face disciplinary action from the NFL.

According to NFL insider Adam Schefter, Watson's hearing is set to begin on Tuesday. He tweeted the news Saturday afternoon.

While the NFL has been actively investigating Watson's case, Tuesday marks the official start of the NFL and NFL Players Association's hearing. The Browns quarterback will stand before Sue L. Robinson, the organizations' appointed disciplinary officer.

Robinson joined the case as a result of the NFL's collective bargaining agreement finalized in March of 2020. According to NBC Sports, the CBA incorporates a disciplinary officer, in this case, Robinson, to make the “threshold decision as to whether a player will be suspended, and for how long.” Both the NFL and the NFLPA appoint and compensate the disciplinary officer.

Before becoming a disciplinary officer, Robinson served in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware. She served from the time she was appointed by President George H.W. Bush in 1991 up until 2017.
