Now that the 2018 NFL Draft has finally arrived, all eyes are fixed on the Cleveland Browns. Although it is safe to assume that they will take a quarterback with the first overall pick, the fate of their fourth pick still remains to be seen.

Cleveland let it be known that they have been shopping the pick ahead of the draft. However, according to NFL reporter Michael Lombardi, will not trade the selection until they are on the clock:

Hearing Browns will trade 4, but only when they are on the clock, not before the pick and they don't want to go down too far.

It is a bold strategy, to say the least. However, it is likely that general manager John Dorsey is hoping to create a sense of urgency among the potential suitors looking to move up.

Fortunately, it is one that could pay dividends. Teams like the Buffalo Bills and Arizona Cardinals have reportedly expressed interest in potentially moving up to take one of the many quality quarterback prospects in this draft. With Cleveland and the New York Jets expected to draft a signal-caller, this has already seen two prospects potentially off the market by four.

At the same time, Cleveland could also be pushing back any deals to the last second to see which players are still available at that point in time. The New York Giants are expected to take either Penn State running back Saquon Barkley or NC State defensive end Bradley Chubb. If the player of their preference is still on the board, do not be surprised to see the Browns capitalize on their second pick in the top four.
