The Tanpa Bay Buccaneers have been handed a blow ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Los Angeles Rams after it was revealed that wide receiver Antonio Brown has tested positive for COVID-19. As it is, the 33-year-old is unlikely to take the field for Tom Brady and the Bucs for Week 3.

This report comes via NFL insider Adam Schefter of ESPN:

The Buccaneers' game against the Rams is just four days away, which makes Brown's timetable extremely tight. There's still a possibility that he's able to suit up for Sunday's match, but at this point, it does not look likely.

The good news for Brown and the Bucs is that the four-time All-Pro WR likely won't suffer any of the adverse effects of the dreaded virus. Tampa Bay head coach Bruce Arians said previously that his entire squad is vaccinated, which means that Brown himself has also received the COVID-19 vaccine.

Should Brown be unavailable for the Buccaneers on Sunday, Scotty Miller and Tyler Johnson will be the biggest candidates to pick up Brown's snaps as the squad looks to make it 3-0 to start the new season. Brown played his role in Tampa Bay's Week 2 victory over the Atlanta Falcons, catching 1-of-3 targets for 17 yards.
