One particular individual will be rooting quite hard for a Tampa Bay Buccaneers victory in next Sunday's Super Bowl LV showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs.

A bettor in Nevada placed a massive $2.3 million wager on the Buccaneers, who are 3.5-point underdogs as of now. Should the Buccaneers cover the spread, the bettor will net a $2 million payout.

The bet is reportedly the largest Super Bowl wager in any U.S. sportsbook as of Friday morning, per BetMGM spokesperson Elisa Richardson.

BetMGM welcomed the bet, considering most of the action has been placed on the Chiefs, the favorites over the Buccaneers following their Super Bowl LIV win:

“This was a bet we were very happy to receive,” Jason Scott, vice president of trading for BetMGM, told ESPN. “We had previously written several other six-figure bets, all on Kansas City, and the public is certainly behind Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes.”

It would seem this bettor has ample faith in Tom Brady and Co. to get the job done. Indeed, it has never been wise to write Brady off.

The six-time Super Bowl faced all sorts of questions throughout the course of the 2020-21 season. There was skepticism about the dynamic between Brady and head coach Bruce Arians, as well as Brady's seemingly diminishing ability to throw the deep ball.

Yet, the Buccaneers find themselves in the Super Bowl after jumping on the Green Bay Packers in the first half of the NFC Championship Game. Tampa Bay's defense will need to replicate that performance in terms of the pressure it Todd Bowles' group generated up front, while Brady and the offense will have to keep pace with Kansas City's quick-strike offense.

After all, there are millions of dollars at stake. Well, at least for one ambitious bettor.
