Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians is ready to move on and forget about Antonio Brown's ugly exit from the team in the 2021 season. That much is clear as he heaped praised on the disgraced wide receiver.

During his recent appearance on The Cook and Joe Show, Arians had nothing but good things to say about Brown despite how things ended between them. The ex-Buccaneers tactician highlighted he had no regrets about signing him to the team as he was a “great player” who worked hard to help Tampa Bay win it all in 2020.

“Great player… Great player. Practices hard and plays as hard as anybody I've ever coached. I wish him well,” Arians said of Brown. “He had a great—a big, big part of us getting that ring. The next season, obviously, didn’t work out as well. He was a big, big part of us winning the championship.”

To recall, Antonio Brown didn't finish the 2021 campaign with the Buccaneers after his outburst in Week 17 against the New York Jets. He walked off the field mid-game after he refused to play as he claimed his ankle was injured, a response that infuriated Bruce Arians.

It marked the end of Brown's Buccaneers career, and his future in the NFL remains murky. However, he did say that he has no plans to play in 2022 even if an opportunity arises.

Clearly, though, Arians wants to get over the saga and focus on his new role as consultant for the Buccaneers.
